Fantastic find. Great food, amazing home made jam, and super friendly service.

A simple straightforward diner with superb meals. Everything was good, but I will dream about the fried potatoes and the blueberry bran muffins. The porkchops were thick, smoked and delicious There is nothing fancy about this place, but it was full with people waiting. The server was friendly and fast. We are planning to stop on our way home from our current trip and include it our future trips to the Northwest.

By their hours you can see this is a breakfast and lunch place. Based on the Yelp reviews, thought I'd give it a try while in the area on business. Unfortunately, Yelp did not come through on this one (at least for my experience). Per the menu, they make their own chicken fried steak. When I see that, I can't help myself and give it a try. First, I like the coating to be light and a little crunchy like, oddly enough, fried chicken. I found it to be heavy, no crunch at all, and little flavor. The cube steak was stringy and hard to cut. The gravy was very thin and oily with that oil and the gravy separating on my plate shortly after it was served. The country style hash browns were horrible having been cooked hours before I got them (my guess is for their breakfast rush. I got there at 11:00). Several pieces of potato were so old and dried up it was like chewing jerky. Barely at room temperature - just horrible. My experience is that when a place serves/treats their sides with such disregard, their slingin' food out the kitchen, not serving meals to their family, friends, and guests. I don't doubt you can find a good meal at this place. Unfortunately, I didn't.

City Slicker Finds Love in Local Diner - Ah...where do I start?! Their jam is homemade and delicious (peach is my favorite). This place is NOT fancy at all. It looks like most things are cooked in a cast iron skillet. The portions are huge. It isn't healthy but things are not cooked in a ton of oil like other places. If you don't want butter on your toast you need to ask for it. If these things don't scare you then you MUST VISIT when traveling through Twin Falls, Idaho. It has character, charm and delicious diner-style breakfast. I'll definitely go back next time we are in the area. Try these: Blueberry pancakes (huge portion) Denver omelet (you can get a mini or large sized) Homemade biscuits Various homemade jams (strawberry, apricot, blackberry, peach, etc)

We stopped at this place after consulting Yelp on our cross country road trip...and we are certainly glad it led us to the Buffalo Cafe. Super friendly staff, amazing food, and good prices made this one place you need to check out if your traveling through Idaho. Thanks! -East Coast Trekkers

Five stars for a hole in the wall? Yup! Why you say? Hospitality! And, an excellent breakfast. This place was FULL! Regulars and people traveling from who knows where we're here to enjoy the great breakfast at the Buffalo Cafe. I decided on the 1/2 Buffalo Chip and it was more than enough for a hungry person. Over easy egg was cooked perfectly and our server was very friendly and prompt. Well worth going a little out of your way to visit

First time I came here was in '85, had a massive chorizo omelette loaded with sour cream and cheese; luckily I was only 24 at the time and survived it. Today, the meals are toned down a bit, but still worth the wait in the doorway, trying to guess which table will open up next. If your looking for a little local favorite, this is it.
(4)Jeff S.
Not that The Buffalo needs one more review...it's iconic in these parts and I can't really add much to what's been said. This place put's it's own spin on their food so it won't necessarily taste like your Grandma's cooking ... Or maybe it will! Keep an open mind and enjoy the cuisine for what it is. You'll find out why it's a Twin Falls institution. I had the Basque chorizo and eggs this morning, with one of their big AND delicious biscuits and homemade jam. Yum!
(5)Priscilla F.
AMAZING food!! Lunch today.. Breakfast tomorrow.. Traveling and will be here for a short time.. Buffalo burger really tasty.. Cobb salad just as good .. Beef barley soup great!! People working here just as good as the food.. Happy for Yelp so we can find these finds!!!!!! They even gave a senior discount.. 5 plus !!!
(5)Justin L.
This place won my heart on a stopover during a cross-country drive from Philadelphia to Portland. Perfect roadside diner stop for a traveler looking for local friendly staff and delicious food to keep you full for a while. I had the chorizo special which provided more food than I could handle for $6.95. Had to take my humungous biscuit to go. My waitress (wish I could remember her name) was extremely friendly and made me feel welcome despite being from out of town. I won't name names, but another diner down the road was pretty unfriendly and I felt weirdly out of place there (the food was lackluster as well). If you're in Twin Falls and craving a big breakfast and a warm friendly environment, make sure to hit up Buffalo Cafe.
(5)Amanda C.
Incredible hole in the wall! Friendly service and delicious food. Best huevos ranchero I've ever had! Definitely only get a half order of everything. It's more than enough. And try the blackberry jelly! Homemade and amazing!
(5)Paty G.
Im from Brazil, living in Jackson Hole Wyoming, so, I love love the American culture, and Western Style is so nice. Place is very ni e, service very friendly and food, special fresh homemade jam, uauuuuu, so delicious! :-)
(5)Elise F.
Went here on a Sunday morning and despite the place being packed, the service was great! I wish I had gotten the name of the gal who helped us - she was amazing, never missed a beat, and called all the ladies in our party "sis" (made for a very comfortable and friendly atmosphere). Now the food - I was told to order the Buffalo Chip, and I'm so glad I took my husband's advice! I ordered the half plate and it was so good - would definitely order it again. The food and service make this our go-to breakfast joint during out visits to Twin.
(5)Worldly F.
Excellent service! I felt so welcomed as soon as Mom and I stepped in the front door. We shared a meal and enjoyed fresh biscuits, so delish. Coffee stayed in our cups and the waitress was on FIRE! Amazingly friendly and efficient despite several tables and being the only waitress. Cons: the cafe is not off the main highway; it took us about 15 mins in traffic to get there. Pros: great food and service with healthy options as well. Fresh biscuits and delicious jam. Stop by the snake river canyon on the way in/out of town and you might catch a base jumper jumping off the canyon rim. ..we did!
(4)Janet Q.
The Buffalo Chip breakfast is excellent, but I couldn't even finish the half-order. Good service & we loved the homemade blackberry jam. Watch your step coming in- I tripped on the small step!
(5)Larry S.
I come to Twin every two months for business, and this place is an absolute must for breakfast. Try Huevos Rancheros, Buffalo Style, or Buffalo Chip. Tip: 1/2 orders are more than enough. Full orders are huge.
(5)Laura S.
I went in expecting a basic diner experience and those expectations were blown out of the water. The delightful energy of the place came through on each step of the meal from the lively server to the fantastic homemade food. Don't leave without getting the jam!
(5)Rick K.
Great food, try the Buffalo Chip breakfast. It was as good or better than the Portland, OR breakfast hot spots where I live.
(5)Mellisa A.
I don't understand how this restaurant gets almost-perfect rating. The homemade jam is very good, I have to admit. Been here a couple times, food was always mediocre at best. Steak was hard and chewy, biscuit was tasteless and not soft, your best bet here is the breakfast options--but still, nothing special from the selection they offer.
(2)Vivian X.
A nice small and cozy restaurant at Twin Falls. We like the yummy Baffalo Chip, and the service is good as others comments.
(5)Kaitlyn P.
Excellent service, reasonable prices. Very kindly stayed open a little later so we could eat there. Buffalo burger was excellent with some of the best fries I've ever had. Buffalo breakfast special was tasty with delicious blackberry jam. Only negative is that the parking lot could be improved.
(5)Jennifer H.
Stopped here while driving through town. We wanted to have a good breakfast for a long drive, this place hit the spot. HUGE portions and we were full for hours. I had the half an order of buffalo chips which were like loaded potatoes with an egg of choice on top. Great flavor and super filling I only ate half of them. It also came with a side I choose the blueberry bran muffin which had a ton of blueberries in it. Really good for a bran muffin. My husband had chicken fried steak for breakfast (yes I said breakfast). He said it was one of the best he has ever had and it was huge. He had a biscuit with it. But I are half of it because it was so good (and huge) and their homemade jam is amazing! Kids: 1 had a pancake the size of a regular plate. And it was $1.50! My other two kids had the $3 kid special which was sausage, egg and a pancake he barely finished his food and lastly silver dollar pancake breakfast and eggs $2, 3 good size pancakes and an egg. Can't beat the prices of these kids meals!
(4)Ginger S.
Get in your car and immediately drive here. Don't pass this place up. Get a biscuit with blackberry jam.
(4)Maria H.
Best omellette EVER. These folks understand eggs. I would go out of my way to go back for breakfast if I were traveling anywhere nearby. I'm only giving it 4 stars because they need to focus on flakiness, not size when making biscuits.
(4)Tony P.
Thank you Buffalo Cafe for ruining breakfast for me forever! How the hell is this Cuban supposed to get the 1/2 order of Buffalo Chip, in Miami?! Or homemade blackberry jam with a humongous biscuit?! Best breakfast I've had in awhile, and I travel for a living.
(5)Blair S.
Recent trip to Idaho yielded our friends taking us to this place in hopes to impress us. They won! Divey-yep. I'm talking diamond-in-the-rough divey, where you would potentially find a trucker on the run who was framed for killing a high-level drug dealer, and now has to meet in a "public place" to get info from a sketchy convict-turned-friend about evading them. Sure, that is really tangent to reviewing this place, but it at least paints the picture of where you will be enjoying a good meal if you go here. What can I say about the Buffalo Chip breakfast that hasn't already been said? Virtually nothing. I echo all of the existing positive comments about it. Especially since no self-respecting human should be purchasing anything more than the "half" portion. Blackberry jam was a delightful cap on an excellent breakfast. Don't be freaked out by the location or people going inside; this place is solid. Real solid. Staff worked their a$$ off, food came quick, coffee is acceptable and prices were realistic. Visit this place. Especially if you were wrongly convicted of a crime and are now trying to escape the law...everyone needs to eat! This place will welcome your cash.
(4)Jordyn C.
everytime i am in twin falls i make it a point to stop in! love the food and their homemade jams!!!
(5)Sarah h.
Everything you look for in a local diner. They have a great menu, good food, and a friendly and attentive staff. Went here for Saturday morning breakfast after the first snow of the season. It was busy but they were turning tables at a respectable pace. My companion and I both ordered from the specials menu- steak and eggs with smothered potatoes, and corned beef hash. The gravy on the potatoes was pretty great, as was the corned beef. I really enjoyed the blackberry jam and homemade biscuit (which was roughly the size of my head). Portions are excessively generous. My reason for 4 vs 5 stars - although my companions eggs were cooked to perfection, my poached eggs were completely over cooked with hard yokes. I would have also enjoyed something beside a second serving of potatoes with the corned beef hash (spinach or collard greens perhaps). Wonderful spot that I would return to when in the area
(4)Caleb H.
Tastes like my childhood. Always come in here for breakfast when I'm visiting my family. Always packed. Love this place!
(5)Jim S.
Traveling from California and always look for a local place to eat. Highly recommend this stop. Worth it. Very local. Excellent service excellent food.
(5)Kim S.
I come to Twin Falls frequently and we always stop at Buffalo Cafe. It's the best breakfast in Twin, definitely worth stopping for! We had the Buffalo Chip, which is combination of potatoes, sausage, bacon, sour cream, & cheese. Incredibly delicious! The omelets are always cooked perfectly. Service is awesome. Love this place!
(5)Shane B.
Very good breakfast!! Staff is so friendly and nice!! The atmosphere is very cool and my little boy loves it here!!
(5)P O.
What a great find. Wife had buffalo chip and it was great. I had blueberry pancakes. All served hot and fast. Never saw the bottom of coffee cup. Friendly wait staff. Homemade muffins were great.
(4)Gabe B.
I've lived in Twin Falls most of my life, and have always gone to Buffalo for generous helpings and great service! Chain restaurants come and go, Buffalo outlast them all! Every experience has been great! The only thing is they have to roll me out cause I'm so stuffed and want to go take a nap after. Yes, it's that good!
(5)Kim R.
This place is always packed for breakfast. It is a great hole in the wall. They give a lot of food. Be sure to try their potatos and homemade jams.
(4)Michael D.
Stopped by here with family and was very impressed. Wait staff were friendly and attentive, despite the fact that the place was packed. The atmosphere was clean and homey. I had the Chorizo, eggs, and potato breakfast. Delicious. And the biscuit--huge and wonderful covered in their blackberry jam. Definitely worth the visit just for the biscuit and jam.
(5)Danielle F.
Wonderful food and awesome friendly service. Came in from out of town and this was the local's recommendation. Totally worth taking!
(5)Sue G.
A super fun local place; we were here for breakfast. It is small and on a side street. We were on an extended road trip and stayed in Twin Falls one night. Buffalo Cafe was always full - with regulars and travelers alike. We ordered their special - a Buffalo Chip. You can get 1/2 of one - which is still HUGE. I have no idea how anyone eats a whole one! They have a wonderful buffalo pancake plate for $4.50 and also omelets. The omelets come in two sizes. Everything was reasonably priced. Toast comes w/homemade jam. It was clean and our server, while very busy, was very pleasant.
(4)Kitty S.
The Buffalo Chip breakfast is made up of potatoes, bacon, onions, green chiles, cheese and eggs. Get the half order unless you eat a lot. I was only able to eat half if the half. My husband ate the whole half. The biscuits are huge but falls a little short of taste. The Blackberry jam was pretty good. The service is amazing. They keep the tea full without even asking. Very friendly staff and very clean. It's located in the industrial part of twin falls.
(4)Gary And Beverly S.
Good food! Home like atmosphere! I wish there were more tables so we wouldn't need to wait as often.
(4)Charles M.
Service was quick and friendly. We stopped for breakfast on our road trip and it was hearty and filling. Good coffee. Good choice!
(4)Mercedes I.
I really liked this restaurant The buffalo chips were very good and the strawberry jam was amazing!!!
(5)Nathan S.
So where I'm from, a dinner or restaurant that cooks local produce and makes everything from scratch, you have to pay a lot more for it. This place is amazing!! The chicken fried steak is amazing and I couldn't even finish all of it. Next time I'm back this way, I'll be headed here again
(5)Mike-Monica W.
If you go go for what they are famous for! The buffalo chip was delicious!! My husband got the steak and eggs which he said was good but not really seasoned, so the flavor came from "dipping" his steak in his egg yolks. The kids breakfast is really cheap ($1.50) but nothing to special, however it was refreshing to not attend six dollars on an egg and toast for a three year old. They make homemade jams which were delicious.
(4)Randal S.
Glad I finally made it to Buffalo Cafe and I went in with high expectations based on the reviews. I got the Basque style sausage plate and the sausage was definitely the best part of the meal. The biscuit and homemade jam was tasty as well. Buffalo Cafe gives you down home cooking and is not trying to be something they're not which I appreciate. It is a pretty simple place with decor that doesn't need updating because that would change what this place is. There are better places to eat in Twin Falls to be sure, but this is worth a shot you have multiple chances to eat out in the area.
(3)Mike H.
This place has great food, fantastic service, homade jam you can take home with you, and lots of parking. What's not to like? I wish I lived closer, so I could make this a regular stop. Definately try this place out.
(5)Angelia C.
This place is wonderful. Lindsay, the waitress is amazing at what she does. The food is great! We were just traveling through and stopped for breakfast and we were so impressed!
(5)Marina G.
We came through on a road trip. One of us got the Basque Style Chorizo, which was very well seasoned. The Buffalo Chip was "yummy," and the Huevos Rancheros were very good as well. We'd recommend it. Make sure to try their homemade jams.
(4)Tracey L.
Nestled in a slightly industrial side of Twin Falls, this little restaurant was a sweet find. As other yelpers recommended, I went with the buffalo chip scramble (potatoes, cheese, sour cream, onions, delicious) and got a pancake kids meal for each child. It was less than $10 for my breakfast and less than $2 for each child (the menu stated mini pancakes for the kids and mini in their book is a 4-5 in diameter)! I would have ordered one less child's meal if I knew how HUGE each plate was. So, if you're not feeling very hungry, plan on sharing with your crew :) It was all very hearty and delicious, I especially loved the ginormous biscuit. I ended up ordering a side of sausage gravy just to eat with the biscuit- also very good. Perfect breakfast that kept us full well past lunch!
(5)C C.
I had the buffalo chip half order. It was very good. My husband had the chicken fried steak and eggs. The steak was full of gristle which made it hard to eat. Did not eat it all. The gravy was weird tasting and the biscuits were tasteless. Clean and good service
(3)Eric M.
Line is long and unorganized, but once you eat it you forget all about it. Blue chips are top notch and the pancakes ate just like old school homemade food. Wish I lived closer. Also Lindsay the waitress was awesome.
(5)Greg N.
Best omelette around! A visitor from Australia had a buffalo burger that he said was awesome! A sure stop when in Twin Falls.
(5)Natalie T.
Wonderful food. Great prices. Great service.
(5)Patrick S.
Cozy, small - town diner atmosphere. Doesn't look impressive but the service and food are excellent. They primarily use locally grown and raised products and you can tell it is not processed food. Try their homemade chorizo - it was wonderful.
(4)Kyle L.
Giant buttery pancakes. Freshly made eggs. Pipping hot coffee. All adds to a great morning.
(4)Randi L.
Best place in town to eat! We have our manager meetings here once a month, the staff is wonderful and we are treated wonderfully.
(5)Jerry A.
Everything on the table was good. Only open 7am to 2pm and specializes in breakfast and lunch. Homemade jams.
(5)Michael R.
Great little place where you'll find all the locals. Good basic food, no frills just tastes great.
(5)Curtis H.
Don't come to this place looking for trendy or fancy. It is neither. What they do have is friendly service and GREAT food. I had the basque chorizo sausage and eggs. It hit the spot. I do not get to Twin Falls often but will be making sure I try this place again when I am in town.
(4)Jordan H.
Everything our group ate was delicious. Pancakes Idaho Omelette Everything omelette Eggs hunter style Biscuits, muffins and the toast with the home made jam were all delicious My personal favorite were the fried potatoes. So delicious. Definitely a must visit while in Twin Falls. First Shoshone falls, the buffalo cafe!!!
(5)Tristen T.
Small unassuming good old boy dinner. Sat next to 3 cops who knew everybody. Waitress was kind and answered questions. Club sandwich was the best I've ever had and there was no way I could finish it and the frys.
(4)Gary H.
The best place for breakfast in Twin Falls. Bring an appetite because the portions are huge. The buffalo chip and the New Mexican Eggs are favorites. We usually grab breakfast here on weekends.
(5)Emma D.
Small restaurant with great service. Would eat there again if I ever visit twin falls again
(5)Jeff F.
I went to this cafe based on the Yelp reviews. The service was excellent, as was the homemade jam. I had the buffalo chips, which is a loaded hash browns with egg on top. It was cooked well and a large portion. I am from out of town, and I would say that there are 4 places in town that I have tried so far that are better. 1. Presai's- Good Thai food plus beer or wine. 2. The Sandwich Shop- Excellent soup and sandwiches, plus microbrews on tap. 3. The Ground Round- Best breakfast in Twin, plus Black Butte Porter on tap. 4. O'Dunken's- Great sandwhiches and great pizza, and 19 microbrews on tap.
(3)Teryn Bonime Ventura Realtor B.
Really sweet group of people working here. Delightful way to start a Sunday! Food was delightful and the coffee perfect. I'll go here for breakfast every chance I get when passing through Twin Falls!
(5)Ryan E.
Great cafe. Good specials. Nice people. We stop here every year for breakfast on our way into Sun Valley. Its a must try if your near it. Chicken fried steak and eggs are excellent..
(5)Christine V.
I don't have enough good things to say about this place. Best breakfast in town. Great service. Try the BLAT for lunch and their homemade jam is fantastic. Great hometown meal with the family atmosphere.
(5)Nikki C.
I was more than satisfied with my breakfast, but the great service put it over the top for me. I truly appreciate a friendly and attentive server. There are only 13 tables in this tiny place. I definitely would not recommend it for a group. I think their largest table seated 5 people, so if you are in a group that is larger I would recommend being ok with being split up at different tables. I believe there were about 4 or so counter seats as well. I had the "mini" Idaho omelet with potatoes and the homemade peach jam. Everything was delicious and the kid portions were not over the top either. I would definitely go back again if I am ever in the area again. It is in a bit of a weird location that makes me think the building used to be a mechanic shop or something like that, but that seems to add to its "rustic" charm.
(4)Jorge A.
The best breakfast place ever. We were driving through on our way to Yellowstone and found this place on Yelp. It was the best reviewed place in the area so we decided to stop by. I had the buffalo chip (half order) which is probably the best breakfast dish I have ever had. My wife had the Denver omelette and she loved it. The blueberry bran muffins and jams are unlike anything we've ever had before. The service was impeccable, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Their portions are huge and are very reasonably priced. If I could, I would drive here at least once a week for breakfast. If you are driving anywhere near this place even if it means going out of your way, you gotta try it. If you do, let me know so you can pick me up a buffalo chip!
(5)Tami R.
Came here about 2 months ago. Picked it due to ratings on here. Great food and cheap prices. Only disappointed because I wasn't able to get my coffee refilled until right before we left.
(4)Giovanni D.
Good ol' greasy spoon, trucker food for sure! The buffalo chip didn't disappoint, get a biscuit as your toast and ask for a side of gravy, and enjoy. The half order is plenty with the biscuit. All food was solid for what it is. Can you say triple D?
(4)Marie D.
Stacks of pancakes, amazing sausage gravy, homemade biscuits, homemade jams and jellies, just thinking about it makes me hungry for breakfast! We waited for over 20 minutes in the cold but it was so worth it :) Definitely planning a second trip to Buffalo Cafe on my next trip :)
(5)Rebecca H.
Went there while passing through to Washington. This place has a very homey small town feel to it. The wait staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food was very filling and delicious. My cups weren't ever left empty. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone.
(5)Michael Q.
this place was awsome! try the buffalo chip
(5)Jeanne C.
Portions are large and taste authentic. I ordered a "mini" size Denver omelet that came with hash brown potatoes and an oversize biscuit. I ate about 2/3 of the meal and was full.
(4)bonne b.
Awesome just does not do it justice.. this place has great food and service!!!!!
(5)R B.
What a great place for a road-trip pit stop. The Buffalo Cafe is the kind of place that restores your faith in the American diner, friendly and full of fresh, well-prepared, and tasty food. Don't be put off by the exterior or the neighborhood -- the block it's on, like a good bit of the city around it, is looking pretty run-down and the restaurant's exterior does it no favors, but the food and people inside are worth the trip. They're accommodating, they cook good food (my party tried the "Buffalo Chip" egg-cheese-potato plate and the patty melt/burgers and found both delicious and filling). Homemade jam seems to be another specialty. This is a highly recommended stop if you're passing through Twin Falls on I-84 as I was, and fans of great American diners will be pleased they dropped in.
(5)Ron D.
Excellent for breakfast. Try the jam's with a biscuit. This place is one of the required stops when I get back to TF.
(5)Norman B.
If Diners, Drive Ins & Drives came to Twin Falls, they would feature this place. It is by far the best breakfast around. It is small, so you might have to wait, but it is worth it. They have fantastic biscuits. Don't miss the home made jams. I eat there almost every time I am in town. You should too.
(5)Doug H.
Wow! I read the reviews before we went there, and it was worth the trip! I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs with a biscuit and it was way beyond expectations covered in great gravy and and tender. The biscuit was HUGE and the homemade blackberry jam was awesome. My wife had pancakes that filled her plate and were yummy! A little off the beaten path, we were on our way to Spokane, but my Garmin got us there. The servers were very friendly and gave us a 10% senior discount without asking! Two thumbs up!!!
(5)Jared F.
The omelettes are amazing, but whatever you do make sure you try the home made Jam on whatever toast or muffin you get! Excellent service, and just makes you feel at home.
(5)Dennis B.
The jams are awesome
(5)J T.
Best breakfast in Twin Falls. I like the biscuit and gravy. The pancakes are great too. The buffalo chips are hearty, great for a hangover cure.
(5)Ruth M.
Holy cow..., er, Buffalo. They close at 2, but it's possible to squeeze in a great lunch. My boyfriend of few words simply stated it was the best omelette he's ever had, and I believed him. The thing was piled high with an entire avocado inside, plus blue cheese, bacon, and whatever else. My personal favorite was the blueberry bran muffin. After a week of meaty meals, it was perfectly branny. Plus, blueberries constituted about a third of it, which is always good. I don't know if I'll be Twin Falls again, but this place was awesome.
(5)Bryon W.
A Twins Falls local recommended that we get breakfast here on a recent trip to Twin Falls i made with my wife, and boy am I glad we did. The food was excellent...stick to your ribs comfort food. Their homemade jam is very good. We ended up buying a jar of each our way out. If you are in Twin, don't make the mistake of not eating breakfast at the Buffalo Cafe.
(5)Carissa P.
This place is a small diner. It has great breakfast food and HUGE portions. They have home made bread and home made jams and jellies. These guys are definitely not for people watching their calories but some really tasty food. Beware on a Saturday morning, you are probably going to be in for a wait...I've heard that sometimes the line goes outside and around the side of the building.
(4)becky r.
I love this place! They are my favorite lunch joint. Their homemade soup is delightful and delicious. I have tasted several different kinds and I have loved them all. The loaded fries are incredibly tasty and gluttonous. My only complaint is that they close at 2:00. This is my favorite restaurant in Twin Falls.
(5)Ryan H.
Food is always great and the size is generous. Staff is always friendly. Tucked away in the original town site of Twin Falls, the Buffalo Cafe is one of the city's best kept secrets.
(5)Michael S.
Excellent, lean buffalo meat burgers with fresh fries. A little wait for Sunday brunch, but friendly service.
(5)Kirsten V.
This place is amazing and I don't even know where to begin! Okay ...this place is so good...that I've been craving buffalo chips ( potatos, gooey cheese, sour cream, onions, green chiles, tomatos, an egg over the top of everything, and bacon mixed in) for YEARS.... yes that's right...YEARS now, and finally got my fix today! My daughter is pretty awesome ( 14 month old total bowl of sugar), but I thought it was really sweet when I'd only ordered buffalo chips, and the cook saw her and made her tiny pancakes and brought her some raisins. She LOVED them, and they were easy for her to pick up and eat. This place is a hole in the wall, and cozy, yet kinda divey inside, and you would not know where to find it unless you were a local. They are in a terrible location! This place is truly one of the gems of Twin Falls that I'm hoping through this review, others get to know about. Worried about forgetful waitstaff? I know for a fact they only hire awesome and highly experienced waitresses. Best to go here during the weekday, and they close at 2 PM! They get slammed on the weekends ( because they are the best breakfast in town!)oh.. annnd.... it is super cheap!
(5)Darci B.
The best place for breakfast if you are in Twin. It is a local tradition, so don't go here expecting chain restaurant decorations or tutti-fruity food. The Buffalo serves stick to your ribs, comfort food. I usually get an omelet or pancakes, but anything you order will be great!
(5)Vicki G.
steak and eggs! consistently good. very casual. home town flavor.
(5)Shannon K.
Greatest cafe in Twin Falls!! Yummmmm :)

I have a soft spot in my heart for small, family-run operations...and if they serve a hearty breakfast, I adore them even more. The decor was a little outdated and a little much (framed buffalo prints---WE GET IT), but the food was fantastic, if a little greasy. I ordered the Buffalo Chip, which consisted of fried potatoes topped with chilis, tomatoes, bacon, sour cream, and TONS of cheddar cheese. Topped off with a poached egg (a healthier alternative, ha ha), it was a delicious heart attack waiting to happen. But, I didn't mind. It even included a muffin, and I was very happy with my blueberry bran muffin with blackberry jam. I was tempted to take home a jar, it was so delicious... Being from California I was WAY too overdressed in my every day business wear...apparently overalls are alive and well in Idaho...

First, thanks to the reviewers before me for guiding me here for breakfast while passing through town. Excellent, just the breakfast I look for while on a long road trip. The buffalo chip skillet is fantastic, but when they offer you your choice of bread.... do yourself a favor and get the homemade biscuit with homemade jelly!!! Awesome!! Pretty sure its the best biscuit I've ever had, and I lived in the South for a number of years.... And for barely $10 with coffee!! I sat at the bar and the service was fantastic. The waitress even let me plug in my dead cellphone behind the counter as I stuffed my face. Both my water and coffee stayed full, even though the place was fairly busy with locals talking weather... This place is what breakfast is all about. If you go through Twin Falls and skip this gem for one of the chain places, shame shame shame...

Decent diner-type food, friendly staff, FYI: they don't take AMEX

This place is a little bit of a dive, but the food is great comfort food! Had the chicken fired steak and eggs and it may have been the best I've ever had. A little out of the way, but worth it. Great Breakfast a must do when in Twin!

Decent fare while traveling through town

The buffalo chip was just as good as the two other reviews said it would be. The waitress was super nice, too. I can't wait to go back and try something off the luch menu. I saw a burger go by my table, and it looked killer!

I went here for my birthday breakfast with my wife and kids. We were driving through on the way to Wyoming. It was everything I could have asked for in a diner. Clean, good food, good portions and friendly people. I had the Buffalo Chip based on Yelp recommendations and was not dissapointed. Great stop.
